Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, Dayanand Vihar is recognised as a leading educational institution in East Delhi. Our school has been certified as a Cyber Smart school by Atal Innovation Mission in collaboration with WNS Cares Foundation. As part of this initiative, the school has trained over 100 teachers, 3000+ students from classes II to XII and their parents to stay Digitally Safe and Cyber Wise.
Multi-disciplinary approach to education and nurturing competencies and skills form the core of the school’s educational programme. Inclusive education has widened the scope of learning opportunities for the Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Community outreach Programmes of the school- Project Sahyog, yearly water conservation drive and power conservation drive are some of the initiatives of the school which aim at grooming pupils as conscientious human beings and responsible citizens.
The SDGs are embedded in the curricular and co-curricular activities. Every year, the holidays homework, morning assembly, intra-school & inter-school competitions and classroom activities are linked to the SDGs. The interdisciplinary linkages is cardinal to deep learning of the subject matter as well as better understanding of the SDGs. Edu- info – an exhibition by students is a platform for students to share their perspectives on sustainable development. The grand exhibition is visited by dignitaries, students, parents, educators and community members.
The inter-school SRDAV MUN( Model United Nation) is yet another initiative to promote independent perspectives on international challenges.
The STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) education programme has strengthened the learning base and our school has received recognition from various government and non -government organisations. Our students and teachers have been achieving exceptional feats at National and International level. The Government of India promotes creativity, innovation and design thinking through competitions like Toycathon and Hackathon etc. The tech-savvy pupils have been winning accolades at such competitions. The school has been selected by the NITI AAYOG Govt. of India and received grant to set up the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in school in the year 2018. Today ATL has expanded its goal of nurturing innovation amongst community members and CWSN.

Dharohar, The Heritage Club of Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School, was established to come up with a plethora of innovative ideas targeted towards inculcating the spirit of the rich heritage of India.
The Club envisions to bring home forgotten facts and stories of vibrant culture of the incredible India. It showcases the talent of the students, in the form of presentation of narratives, poems, and other facets of fine arts and literature related to the rich cultural heritage of our country.
It has been doing so through regular presentation of posters based on Indian culture and heritage, holding quizzes, colloquiums, participation at different initiatives of the Government of India to highlight the cultural legacy of the country; and an essential feature of these is its conformity to the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020.
We are now recognised as a Microsoft School for successfully integrating technology in our curriculum and teaching. Our school also featured in the Microsoft Anthem 2018 which aimed at promoting importance of Girl Child Education in making STEM Education successful.
Our school has been declared the winner of the School Enterprise Challenge (2020) - an international initiative of Teach a Man to Fish. Our students have received these commendations for the third consecutive time.
The Road Safety Programme of our school focuses on promoting road safe behaviour and reducing road trauma. The Road Safety team participated in Your Ideas , Your initiatives - an international competition by Renault and was stood second. Teams from 73 countries participated in this prestigious competition.
